The traditional Advent market always takes place on the second weekend of Advent in Meinerzhagen. Over 30 exhibitors present themselves at the two-day market on Otto-Fuchs-Platz and in the adjoining town hall.
Both the handicrafts and the food and drink on offer are varied. At the creative market in the town hall, visitors will find fretwork, jams and knitted items as well as many other handicrafts. On Otto-Fuchs-Platz, the creative offerings are complemented by Christmas decorations and textiles. Visitors can also look forward to homemade liqueurs, honey and pestos. Those who want to eat and drink directly on site are spoiled for choice: from vegetarian vegetable pans, classic bratwurst and mulled wine to Turkish specialties, desserts, Feuerzangenbowle and pizza, everything is on offer.
Even the little ones are catered for: Santa Claus will be giving away treats on both days. There is also a small children's carousel.
Those who want to warm up are in good hands in the Stadthalle. In addition to the creative market, Christmas concerts by local choirs and music groups also take place here.

Directions
Otto-Fuchs-Platz is located in the center of Meinerzhagen in the immediate vicinity of the town hall. There are bus stops and a cab stop at the edge of the adjacent pedestrian zone. The ZOB and Meinerzhagen train station are also within walking distance (RB 25 Meinerzhagen - Lüdenscheid-Brügge / RB52 Meinerzhagen-Gummersbach/Cologne). The Advent market can be reached by car via the B54 or the A45 (Meinerzhagen exit).
